The Plantin-Moretus Museum keeps an extraordinary collection of 14.000 woodblocks. 14.000 examples of true craftsmanship, drawings masterly cut in wood, going back as far as the 16th century.

Just like vocal music, they testify to a deep love for craftmanship and timeless beauty.

Enjoy our selection to accompany our autumn 2020 concerts, and get inspired!

An Eisendrath, graphic designer and creative force of Studio Anorak, developed the new visual style of the Vlaams Radiokoor last season.

story & material

An has been working for several years for the Museum Plantin-Moretus, and in search of the story and material of the new normal-concerts of the Vlaams Radiokoor this autumn, the woodblocks were a logical choice: a collection from the time of Plantin - and thus a link with the many baroque programmes. Simple, refined and of timeless beauty - just like the vocal music of many centuries..

For the reopening of the museum, Studio Anorak designed a series of cards inspired by the collection of woodblocks: check out the video in which An talks about her search for the right imagery.

Radiokoor selection

The selection for the Radiokoor is used in the cards for the new autumn programme. Single cards, to hang up, to draw and sketch on, to get inspired.
