Robert Groslot based his latest chamber opera I Will Come Back on the eponymous novel by Dutch literary monument Adriaan van Dis, a tragicomedy about the fragile relationship between mother and son.
The Vlaams Radiokoor recorded the opera for chorus and two soloists in the middle of the pandemic, with face masks, in Studio 4 of Flagey.
"The corona arrangement had its advantages; singers and musicians sat and stood further apart, making the recording detailed and transparent," Robert Groslot revealed in an interview.
