The Vlaams Radiokoor has always had a special place in its heart for music of its own time - and especially when it comes from its own country. In this programme, we pay homage to the 'godfather' of that Flemish choral music, Vic Nees.
The connection with amateur choirs was very important for Nees - and still is for the Vlaams Radiokoor. So for this production, we are happy to share the stage with some of those many fantastic amateur choirs from Flanders!

At each concert venue, local amateur choirs are given a special stage opportunity: they perform their own selection of choral works in the programme of the Vlaams Radiokoor.
